Hello Wonderers,
This France/Spain trip has been nothing but a dream. This is the most city hopping I have done in a long time. Although I am just sitting in a bus or train, it does get tiring. However, there is something about seeing a new city for the first time.
I have never been to Bordeaux, and I feel next to Paris, it is sometimes overlooked. Bordeaux is one of the largest cities in France though, so there are things to see and do. Also, there is still a hustle and bustle around the plazas and main shopping areas.
For me, Bordeaux was the perfect city size. It wasn’t too big, but it wasn’t too small either. Everything was walkable. I enjoyed the diversity, and again, everyone was very kind even when I struggled with French.
I was in Bordeaux for a total of 3 days. I originally was planning to book a wine tour, because Bordeaux is famous for its wine. Unfortunately, I couldn’t have any, because of motherly duties. I don’t know if I would go out of my way again for Bordeaux, but never say never.
Also, the transportation system in Europe is superb. I am really impressed. First, it is easy to to purchase tickets and navigate your way to the platform. To get to Bordeaux from Paris was only 2.5 hours and it was such a comfortable ride. I highly recommend every one uses this mode of transportation, if possible.
